THROWBACK THURSDAYS

I love 90's music; I'm an 80's baby so I guess that only makes sense. I enjoy these Throwback Thursday posts because they give me an opportunity to share my most favorite songs & videos from my most favorite artists that molded my passion for Hip Hop. This week it's all about Ma$e because I can't stop playing Harlem World.
Harlem World was Ma$e's critically acclaimed, multi-platinum, debut album released on October 28, 1997 by Bad Boy Records. The album contained 20 tracks with production by Sean Combs, The Hitmen, The Neptunes & Jermaine Dupri amongst others. The project also including features from artists such as Puff Daddy, DMX, Kelis, The Madd Rapper, Busta Rhymes, Lil Cease, Jay-Z & Lil Kim, just to name a few.
One of my favorite cuts off of the album is #12, a record entitled, "Feel So Good." The song was produced by Diddy for The Hitmen & features Kelly Price. Check out the official visual below & check out Harlem World for $9.99 on iTunes here: iTunes: Harlem World By Ma$e

This week my own relationship has been on my mind constantly so I figured maybe I could somehow incorporate that into this weeks Throwback Thursday. I decided on "Make Me Better" by Fabolous featuring Ne-Yo. I'm instantly thrown into a time capsule the second the track begins to a time when the boss, AG and I had first fallen in love and we truly were playing our roles as Bonnie & Clyde of '07.
- Good memories. I love you AG. <3
Produced by Timbaland, "Make Me Better" was the third single from Fab's 2007 album, From Nothin' To Somethin'.
The official music video was released on May 23rd, 2007. Roselyn Sánchez appears in the visual as Fab's Bonnie.Thursday, May 17th, 2012

"I put Mike Jack' on stage at Summer Jam, "Billie Jean"" - Jay-Z (Put On Remix - Young Jeezy x Jay-Z)
In 2001 during Hot 97's Summer Jam Concert, Jay-Z did the unthinkable; he brought Michael Jackson out and onto the stage! For the old school veterans you remember this historic moment in Hip Hop but for the freshman you remember Jay saying, "I put Mike Jack' on stage at Summer Jam, "Billie Jean"" during his verse on Young Jeezy's 2008 banger, "Put On", which he remixed w. Jay. Check out the clip below.

Since it's truly been Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg taking over Hip Hip this week, I figured it's only appropriate that I throw it back with something classic from this dynamic duo of the west coast. "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" was the 1st single off of Dr Dre's debut solo album, The Chronic, which was released on December 15, 1992 under Death Row Records with distribution by Priority Records. The song features young Snoop Dogg & samples from "I Want'a Do Something Freaky to You" by Leon Haywood.
