Today is the 5th annual Record Store Day; a day created by an independent record store employee to celebrate the art of music. Iggy Pop is the official ambassador of this years event.

Amongst a slew of performances taking place, the participating record stores will be selling 3 types of Record Store Day Exclusive Vinyls as follows:

"RECORD STORE DAY EXCLUSIVE RELEASES. Exclusively available on Record Store Day at Record Store Day participating stores. Will not be available anywhere else in the same format.

RECORD STORE DAY LIMITED RUN/REGIONAL FOCUS RELEASES. Also exclusively available on Record Store Day at Record Store Day participating stores, but the quantities of these titles are EXTREMELY limited. Under 1000, and WAY under 1000 in some cases. We felt it was only right to put them on a special sub-list, so that everyone is clear on the odds.

‘RECORD STORE DAY FIRST’ RELEASE. These are titles that you can find on Record Store Day at Record Store Day participating stores. So if you’re a fan of the artist, you get first listen. Managed by Ghostface Killah & Sheek Louch, two of New York City's most infamous rap crews, Wu-Tang Clan and D Block have creatively teamed up for an upcoming, joint project entitled: Wu-Block. The album has been a work in process for the past year and is said to be near completion (as seen on allhiphop.com). During a recent allhiphop.com exclusive interview (below), Jadakiss speaks about the album and says, "I think I got like 2 or 3 more verses to complete and then I think they gonna wrap it up and get it out to the people." Shawn Carter came in at #2 with $460 Million. Jay-Z's fortune earned from his stakes in his Rocawear clothing label, a 10-year $150 Million Live Nation deal, his partial ownership of the NJ Nets, his 40/40 Club chain & ad firm Translation amongst other businesses.
